The Careers Department is available for all students to access. The Career's Adviser has information for students that will assist with exploring future options and creating future pathways for when students leave school. All students are encouraged to use the resources in the Careers Department to increase knowledge of pathways into employment or further education.
Students begin Careers lessons in Year 10 where they use Careers Assessment tools called Myfuture and Job Jump to explore their career options in a concrete way. Year 10 access work experience and develop their resume writing skills inclusive of their employment related skills embedded in the wider curriculum as part of the Department of Education and Training School to Work Policy.
The Careers Adviser can assist with securing part time employment, tax file applications and even short courses that may be of interest to students. Senior students can discuss subject options and requirements needed for the ROSA and the HSC.
The Careers Office is located in the Library.
