Bonnyrigg aims to meet the Spiritual wellbeing of students in years 7 and 8 by offering the following special religious education:
- Christian – run by the Anglican Diocese of Sydney, the Baptist Union of NSW and the Presbyterian Church of NSW with reference to the CEP Curriculum Overview
- Buddhist –run by Buddhist Council of NSW with reference to the Buddhist Scope and Sequence
This will take part on Fridays:
Year 7 - period 3
Year 8 - period 4
Students who do not participate in SRE will be given meaningful activities during this time.
Students can change their selection at any time. Parents/carers will need to complete the Special Religious Education and Special Education in Ethics Participation Letter and return the completed form to the Front Office.
Year 8 students will remain in the Religion/Ethics class chosen in year 7. Please notify the school by completing the Special Religious Education and Special Education in Ethics Participation Letter and returning it to the Front Office if you wish to change the class in which your child participates.
