Announcement - Honours & Awards (Youth)
Dear Members,
Each year St John Ambulance Australia (NSW) recognises the important role our that our Youth Members fulfil in our organisation and local communities. These incredible Young People play a vital role in ensuring that First Aid remains a part of everyday life.
This year we received a large volume of nominations, which is a testament to the incredible role youth play in St John. I am very pleased to announce that we have selected our winners for the Zone Cadet and Youth Leader of the Year awards, as well as the State Cadet and Youth Leaders of the Year.
Congratulations to Josh Andrijich (Blacktown Cadets) and Sarah Mudgway (Blacktown Cadets) who are our 2019 Edeline Jenkyn State Cadet of the Year Recipients.
Congratulations to Brooke Carrier (Bonnyrigg High School Cadets) who is the 2019 Peter Falkland State Youth Leader of the Year.
Brooke is a former Grand Prior Cadet and is now the Divisional Superintendent of Bonnyrigg High School Cadet Division. Brooke took on the role at a young age and has been instrumental in the Divisions success. In addition to managing the Division Brooke is a key member of the NSW Youth Social Engagement Team and regularly facilitates engagement activities at State Youth Events, including but not limited to Leadership Courses, the State Camp and State Youth Formal. Brooke has demonstrated an exceptional ability to build relationships with other Divisions and provides support and guidance to other leaders within the organisation.

Northern Regional – Cohen Butterworth (Wallsend CD)
Northern Metro – (Male) Josh Andrijich (Blacktown CD), (Female) Sarah Mudgway (Blacktown CD)
Southern Metro – (Male) Srikar Danthurty (WSCD), (Female) Ghada Rahem (Bonnyrigg HSCD)
Youth Leader of the Year
Central Southern – Jade Kirk (Molong CD)
Northern Metro – Sally Fenton (Harbourside Combined)
Southern Metro – Brooke Carrier (Bonnyrigg HSCD)
All of these recipients have demonstrated a high level of commitment to the organisation, they are role models in their Zones and we look forward to working with each of these incredible young people now and into the future. The Peter Falkland Youth Leader of the Year and The Edeline Jenkyn Cadets of the Year will be presented with their awards at the Annual Awards Ceremony. The Zone Cadet and Youth Leaders of the Year will be recognised at the Annual State Youth Formal.
